Custom Termite Program
Whether it is due to construction materials, natural habitat, or family lifestyle, we tailor termite control solution options to the unique needs of each customer.
There are two general categories of termite treatments, liquids and baits.
Soil-applied liquid termiticides have been around for decades. Their purpose is to provide a long-lasting chemical barrier that excludes termites in the ground from entering buildings. In most cases, termites in the structure die off as well, since they cannot return to the soil. Most former products were more repellent in nature rather than lethal to termites foraging in the soil. The newer materials are non-repellant and since the termites moving through it are not aware of its presence, colony elimination is now possible.
Overall the non-repellant products are proving to be much more able to resolve termite problems in the first attempt and it takes a smaller amount of chemical to achieve positive results.
Chem-free's program is unique to the industry.
Full-termite treatments can be rather expensive. People who discover one termite mud tube are often tempted to have that one area spot treated. Whether this is a good idea depends on many factors including future plans for the house, your willingness to take risks, and the size of your pocketbook.
Chem-free's approach for our Custom Termite Program considers the whole ecosystems in determining the best and safest methods for managing termites. We thoroughly inspect all areas around your home where termites may be found or are likely to appear due to conducive conditions such as bath traps, heavy foliage, or a cold joint at the slab.
Unlike traditional termite treatments that place a lot of termiticide around the entire foundation and where drilling through the houses' slab may be involved, Chem-free uses only what is necessary in the areas where there are active termites or conducive conditions warrant treatment.
We feel so confident that our treatment is effective we will guarantee the entire house.
For a small fee, Chem-free will return each year to thoroughly inspect your home for any signs of returning termites. And should treatment be necessary, it is done without incurring additional expenses.
Chem-free Proactive Termite Program
Chem-free can now offer you termite coverage included with your regular pest control, for a fraction of the cost of a full termite treatment. By applying a liquid treatment to the conducive areas of your home and installing a termite monitoring system, Chem-free's Proactive Termite Program provides a lethal "one-two" punch to termites.
First: Chem-free will apply a liquid treatment to the conducive areas in and around your home. They unknowingly pick the material up and carry it back to the colony. Therefore, every other termite it comes in contact with will itself become a carrier.
Secondly: Chem-free's monitoring system acts like a security system. It is designed to protect your home by notifying us when termites are invading your property for new food sources. When the worker termites find the monitors, they will recruit other workers to help bring the food source to the colony. Chem-free will apply a liquid-barrier at the foundation, thus protecting your home from any possible damage.
With the combination of monitoring and liquid treatment, we can stop termites before they begin feeding on your home.
The Chem-free termite baiting system
For years, the standard method of controlling subterranean termites was to apply a liquid pesticide, known as thermiticide to the soil. The goal was to create a continuous chemical barrier around and under the building in order to block all potential routes of termite entry.
A typical "barrier" treatment may involve hundreds of gallons of pesticide injected into the ground alongside the foundation, beneath concrete slabs and within foundation walls. Termites attempting to penetrate the treated soil were either killed or repelled.
After decades of research and testing, new termite management tools have emerged.
Chem-free proudly offers a comprehensive baiting program as an alternative form of treatment for termites. A comprehensive baiting program seeks to maintain a termite-free home through ongoing inspection, monitoring and re-baiting as needed. Unlike conventional treatments, baits are designed to suppress or eliminate entire termite colonies.
This type of treatment protects more than a million homes and properties including the Statue of Liberty, the White House, Independence Hall and the Alamo.
